Summary
In a short visit to New York, Monk and Natalie stumble upon a fresh crime scene. Monk manages to decipher large parts of the murder, but comes up with nothing when trying to decipher the biggest problem with his theories. BAU arrive at their most recent crime scene. It resembles a recent thread of murders throughout the East Coast, targeting military personnel. The most significant difference here is also the key to this mystery. Gibbs and his team are getting frustrated. Six murders involving Marines in the last two months, and he promised himself that they'd catch their killer before he killed one more Marine. The next murder leads the team to New York, where they learn that two different departments are already working on this case. Amid the struggle to keep his promise and his case, Gibbs and his team are faced with one more challenge that hinders them from solving this puzzle. What role does the man who seems to be both Monk's and Natalie's stalker and guardian angel play? Who could get away with murders, when he's hunted by three so efficient -on their own- teams? Can they work with each other on this case? Where can they find the missing part of the equation? Would they be able to bear the answers to these questions?
