Summary
Bobby was back.
After six months of having to brutally grieve his death, Bobby was alive, recovering, and home.
Buck needed more than a minute to process that.
Don't get it twisted, he's over the moon grateful that Bobby isn't dead. But after teetering on the edge of such dangerous levels of depression, Buck had sunk to his knees sobbing in relief when he got the good news, then immediately called Dr. Copeland for an emergency session. Buck just knew he wouldn't be able to emotionally catch up on his own; it was just too much to take in at once. But despite everything, Athena's call had felt like the answer to a prayer he'd given up on dialing.

Summary
The drive passes in a blur of technicolors. The early morning traffic adds to his growing headache, the pulsing behind his eyes growing with every car horn or glare from a side mirror. His left leg continues to ache.
Buck drives without thinking about it, and he isn’t all too surprised when he finds himself outside Eddie’s door. Although they’ve discussed the possibility of moving in together over the past few months, they both agreed to take it a little on the slow side. Still, Buck spends more time with Eddie and Chris than he does at his own place.
It’s the only place where he truly feels safe.
Where he feels loved.

Summary
“Were you really worried?” asks Eddie. Buck’s brow furrows, confused. “About, you know—what you said. That your looks wouldn’t cut it. Because that’s…”
Buck’s head tilts on its axis, in a manner that would be almost harrowing if it weren’t his familiar, ludicrously handsome face. “That’s what?”
“Stupid,” Eddie blurts out. Shakes his head. Rectifies. “Not—you’re not stupid. Not at all. I just mean that… obviously, someone should want you for all of you.” Eddie thinks that should really go without saying. “But even without all the addendums. You’re, like, a total smokeshow, man.”
Good God. That’s fucking embarrassing. Even worse—or perhaps better, Eddie is so ruined—Buck beams.
"Total smokeshow?” Buck repeats, nothing short of delighted. On topic, Eddie really could go for a smoke bomb right about now. Just—pull the pin and flee.
