Summary
3 years after Carmen Ximena Castillo died the night of the auction Unit Bravo is sent to Malinalco, a small town in Mexico where they find someone they never thought they would see again.
Novitiate Carmen has spent her life in service to her community and to God. For as long as she can remember this has always been her purpose but it has never come easy. She recalls nothing about her life before the church and is haunted by nightmares of terrible things and fantastical creatures. Whispers follow Carmen speaking of old, dangerous magics many Novices and Novitiates shun her out of fear.
Sisters begin to go missing and mysterious agents appear to investigate. Carmen is thrust into a mystery surrounding their past as more sisters disappear it falls to them to discover the truth behind it all and who they used to be.
