Entering their dorms, Eugene is fuming. On the way back from the camping trip he had time to process everything that happened in the past few hours and he isn’t happy about it. He starts arguing with Pugsley, yet the boy doesn’t seem to understand his problem .
Pugsley, on the other hand, feels a combination of feelings. He's worried, annoyed and intrigued, all at the same time. He wishes he could understand Eugene a little bit better.

In retrospect, Albrecht wouldn't call them best friends. He and “Peepa”, as the boy calls himself, get along just fine. By now, Albrecht has even figured his name to actually be Peter. Which is a remarkable progress and upgrade from Maybe-Pete.
Or: Five times he was just Friedrich's son, and the one time he was Albrecht's too.
