Summary
Remus Lupin has resigned to live and die in solitude, enough that he began to enjoy the simplicity. It's been over a decade since all of his friends died or turned into murderers. He writes for the prophet from time to time, which earns him enough to live in a humble apartment in Diagon Alley.
He couldn't possibly afford Wolfsbane on his salary, though he was content that it was enough for indulging at Florean Fortescue's every now and again.
When he wakes after one full moon to realize he has not spent it alone, all of his efforts to live a simple life are threatened. It starts with finding space in his life where there wasn't any before and escalates into being confronted with his past as well as his morals. And if that didn't complicate his life enough, a new job offer makes him dependent on the potioneer he might have misjudged completely.
