“Well… I died. There’s nothing I can do about that, right? It took me long years to make peace with that. I’m not about to deny it. Speaking about how, though, it is traumatic for some ghosts...” Her face pulled into a concentrated one and Adora frowned.
“I’m sorry.” Catra simply shrugged and kept looking around the room. “Are you here to haunt me?” Adora scratched her arm at the sudden fear she felt at the possible answer.
“Not unless you want me to.” Catra grinned at her. When Adora wrote her thesis centered on Oral History titled "Beyond the Eyes of the Living, How the Dead Speak" she didn't mean it literally. Hell, she didn't even think she would be offering to solve this Magicat's murder.

Summary
Kara Danvers wanted a change in routine. She didn’t expect the sharp heels and guarded silences, or the book notes, and how something so small could grow into something she wasn’t ready to name.
Lena Luthor wanted obscurity. What she found was a quiet café, a stray cat, and a barista with too much light in her eyes — the kind that could make even a Luthor hesitate.

Summary
“Nah, you way over-tipped last night. This one’s on the house.”
Lena’s shoulders slump in mock exasperation. “Kara, don’t start with me.”
“I am absolutely starting with you.”
What a smug little shit, Lena thinks. But God is she cute. “You really don’t want to play this game.”
"Yeah? Maybe I do.”
It’s said so softly, so gently, and if this was one of Siobhan’s movies, they wouldn’t be talking about the money or drinks at all, they’d be talking about something clenching around Lena’s chest, something stifling, a loneliness that paralyzes her bones.
“Don’t blame me when you lose,” Lena says with a gentle upturn of her mouth, her voice low and crackling, leaving a fifty-dollar bill on the bartop before she turns away.
