The original plan had been straightforward, Sanji would marry Charlotte Pudding, forging an alliance between Germa 66 and the Big Mom Pirates. It was all Judge needed to secure Germa’s political and military strength.
Niji had been his usual insufferable self, flinging insults at Sanji, disregarding orders from Judge as usual, and antagonizing the servants around him. Reiju, observing her brother’s antics, had grown tired of his behavior.
“Father,” she had said, her voice calm but tinged with a subtle smirk, “if Sanji’s marriage is a means of reforming him and strengthening the family’s position, why not extend the arrangement to Niji as well? Perhaps a spouse could... instill some discipline in him.”
Judge had paused, his calculating mind already working through the implications. “You might be right, Reiju,” he said, stroking his chin thoughtfully. “It would double the benefits of the alliance.”
And just like that, the fate of another Vinsmoke was sealed.

Izuku Midoriya always loved quirks, even if he didn't have one himself.
After retreating to the internet to cope with discrimination, he quickly discovers that the world of heroics isn't as bright and perfect as it seemed, and many people slipped into the cracks of society. Heteromorphs, villainous quirks, the quirkless, all were ignored and forgotten. Those that pointed out the discrimination were labeled as villain sympathizers or villains themselves, and banned from the forums, Izuku included.
Now, on the only major forum that allowed anti-heroic rhetoric, the so-called Villain Network, Notebook rises like a star on the analysis and essay subforums, dissecting both quirks and laws with terrifying efficiency. Some people take notice, and after getting invited to a meeting Izuku joins a group that promises society of equality under the eyes of the law. Where the only thing that mattered were one’s abilities to be useful, a true meritocracy. The group’s name?
The Meta Liberation Army.
The hero society won’t know what hit them.

In a snap judgement, Midoriya Inko uses her quirk to save a life during surgery. She's promptly fired. The reason? Unlicensed, illegal quirk usage, cause enough to revoke her medical license and with it, her salary. At the age of ten, her son Izuku's life is flipped on its head. They move to cheap apartment in a more run-down area, sell their things, and work long hours to make ends meet.
The world is rotten, and he begins to see the cracks. Unfair rules, chains written in ink that shackle everyone unfairly. Villains running rampant, unabated by corrupt heroes. His heroic dreams hold firm - he and his mom both promised they would always do the right thing.
When Izuku is fifteen, he leaves work one night to see a woman being suffocated by a villain made of sludge, surrounded by explosions. Heroes watch uselessly and the crowd stands by, so he rushes in to save her. This woman, Curious, turns out to be a head lieutenant of the Meta Liberation Army, and in Izuku's heart she sees a roaring flame.
What follows is a chain of events in which Izuku finds a new purpose beyond being a hero... Liberation.
