Summary
It was the strangest sensation he'd ever felt. Which, at this point, was saying something. One that started right in his sternum, as if suddenly there was something stuck in there. It almost felt like a strong cough at first, only less slimy. His body started coughing, trying to get the strange object out of his system. He heaved and hit his chest a couple of times, though weirdly enough it wasn't a painful feeling. It just felt uncomfortable. Like having a piece of food stuck in your throat, minus the lack of air.
Thankfully, it only lasted a couple of seconds. With only a bit of coughing, the thing moved up his throat, past his epiglottis, to his mouth and then immediately out. He barely even felt the strange object up there, almost didn't think about the weird taste it left in his tongue. And besides, he wouldn't have stopped to think about it, because he had the thing he'd coughed right in his hand.

Now, Kyon wasn't exactly a medical expert. But he was pretty sure that wasn't normal.
Kyon begins coughing flowers. It's not hard to figure out why.
