She could feel their eyes on her, but she put her purest act on, seemingly innocent and unknowing of what her clothes could do to a boy, to a man. Her thigh high socks accentuating the shape of her legs, the shirt a size too small so the shirt gaped at her breasts, and a few books pressed against her breasts to squish them upwards. Everything a boy, and some girls, wanted in a girl, innocent yet sexy.
There was not a particular boy she wanted attention from, honestly, she just wanted the attention and maybe get something else out of her efforts. She had not had a good lay in months, and she was getting hornier every day that passed.When desperation hit, one must do what one must do. The vivid clarity of the world around himself, draped in a dark cloak of night that his enhanced eyes saw through as if it were but a thin sheet; the crisp autumn air tickling the inside of his nostrils with such saturation that it almost felt like he could taste the coming winter on the tip of his tongue. The breeze that came from this altitude tickled his bare skin, and despite its ineffectual chill against his strengthened flesh, goosebumps climbed up his neck from the tactile sensitivity he bore against its breath.
Everything felt so real, realer and fresher than it'd ever been. If that made sense, which it probably didn’t.
His senses then were just so alive that he didn’t think he could recall a time he’d ever been so… aware, of everything.

"Okay," Ilya said slowly, not entirely sure what a billet was, but not wanting to admit his ignorance.
He could guess from the context – he’d heard of rookies being assigned to live with older single players, veterans who could show them the ropes. Maybe that was what Fletcher meant. Connors maybe, he was probably a handful of years older than Ilya. Or perhaps Becker. Ilya just hoped it was someone who–
"You'll be staying with Nikolai Petrov and his family."
The words hit Ilya like a punch to the gut. For a moment, he forgot how to breathe.
"Petrov?" he managed, his voice coming out strangled.
