Mike's jaw drops and he sits up to face where Will (assumedly) is, “You’re haunting me?”
“I guess?” Mike can imagine Will looking off to the side, scratching his cheek self-consciously.
He places his hands on Will’s shoulders, turning the other to look at him. He definitely looks stupid – his eyes closed while simultaneously trying to stare at Will intently.
“So you’ve been following me around this whole year?”
“Um. Yes?”
He groans, pressing the heels of his palms to his eyes. “Holy shit.”
“Holy shit.” Will echoes.
Or; Mike struggles with wanting things he can never have - like Will back alive. Even after he gets it, he still wants more.

Oh, and the Wheeler bloodline exists in both places.
When the Loser Club hears about Hawkins, Richie decides that they need to go speak to his cousin. Though, when he arrives, he notices quite a few changes from the last time he had seen Mike. Namely, how cute his best friend Will Byers had gotten. Oh, and the fact that his cousin was hopelessly in love with him.
Hm, maybe Richie could do something about that.

Summary
After everything Hawkins has been through, the Party finally gets a night with no monsters, no sirens, and no world-ending disasters.
For Mike Wheeler, it also comes with whiskey, Truth or Dare, and the sudden realization that something is very wrong with him.
Because for some reason, he can’t stop watching Will.
He can’t stop reacting to Will.
And he definitely can’t stop feeling whatever the hell this is.It’s not a problem for drunk Mike.
It’s a problem for sober Mike.
If only Mike knew, some things don’t disappear when the alcohol wears off. They were always there.

OR
Mike Wheeler gets drunk, plays Truth or Dare, and accidentally realizes he’s in love with his best friend.
