Percy Jackson has survived a lot in the last few years. He should finally be able to take a break, but the Gods never let that happen. Only, the thing is, this time it isn't the Gods from his world that are trying to get to him - instead, they're from a world where they can no longer have children, and they desperately want them. It's weird, being actively sought out by Gods who (for once) don't mean harm, but their interest in his life is even weirder. Especially when he has to confront it himself.
OR: percy is taken by gods from a universe where they can't have demigods, and the magic used to find him also creates a set of books about his life - because each time one of the living demigods are mentioned, they, too, are summoned to meet their alternative parents. (although not every one of them turns up.) they've been planning to find them for a while, and now, they aren't willing to let them go. (he'll figure something out. hopefully.)

Sunrise was still at least an hour away, but there was a slight brightening of the sky along the horizon when Molly said, “She’s a curious thing that little goblin of yours.”
Caleb closed his eyes, just for a moment. It was easy to forget with how loudly he loved to proclaim his lack of interest in the past, but Molly was just as bad at minding his own business as Beau was, even if his social graces were better than hers. Caleb should have known better than to give him an opening.

He tastes salt on his lips as he speaks, and it tastes how food used to. “I close my eyes and four hours passes in a blink, but I don’t feel rested. I’m surprised by my reflection in mirrors, but I’ve almost stopped flinching from the self I don’t recognize. I’m not hungry but I need to eat, otherwise my mind slows and my body begins to fall apart. What I eat I can barely taste. I can’t decide what I miss the most, the feeling of being rested or the satisfaction that comes from eating a good meal.” Occtis tries to stop speaking, but one more phrase makes it out on the last of his breath. “There’s a hollow place where my heart was, and it’s always cold.”
