Summary
After fighting in the Trash Beast and losing to Jabber, Zanka is stuck in the infirmary recovering as the others go on missions. Yet, under the cover of night, Zanka is forced by Jabber into constant battles as training. While Zanka learns to trust himself and his instincts, Jabber learns through Zanka how to be vulnerable. Together, they explore the labyrinth of their blooming relationship. Can their strange definitions of intimacy be understood by one another?

“How do I predict a person like that?! Like you?”An unintentional growl vibrates throughout Zanka’s throat, brimming with desperation.
Jabber is quiet for a moment, then through still lips and averted eyes, he speaks.
“Ya don’t. You don’t needa predict anything other than my fighting moves.”
Don't predict me. He demands with his eyes.
“I’m still gonna try.”
“Zanka, you’re moving closer. That’s dangerous.”
Jabber’s warning falls upon death’s ears.

Summary
Resilience: the capacity one has to persist, even in the face of adversity. To recover from injury, to adapt to one’s circumstances, to continue moving forward despite danger or challenge.
If there was one thing that Zanka had to show for himself in this unforgiving world, it was his resilience.
Or: the one in which Zanka has to confront his own perception of himself and his views of his own abilities after the fight leaves him with permanent injuries that he may not come back from. Somehow, a certain someone knows it didn't lower his potential... he still has the room to adapt.

Summary
Zanka Nijiku—nihilist, pessimist, misanthropist—lives his life on a single mantra: love is bullshit. Nothing but primitive bursts of passion that interfere with the symmetry of an otherwise right-angled world.
This offends Heaven; and so naturally they do the only logical course of action:
Send down a cupid and force him to find love.
(Or, Jabber is an angel sent down to help Zanka find love, and Zanka wants to end it all.)

Summary
Enjin locks eyes with the boy he’d been searching for over half a year. It’s Zanka. He looks tired , bags under his eyes, his hair longer than it used to be messy and uncut , and a raiders uniform .
His cleaners one gone. Not a signal trace of HQs logo. The mark that brought all of them together as a sign of unity and fellowship.
The color purple never looked so disgusting on Zanka.
(When Zodyl takes a sudden interest in Zanka , he decides the best idea is to kidnap and brainwash the the cleaner into becoming a raider.)

Summary
Eventually the footsteps stop at his back and pause before circling around to stand in front of him. Zanka just stares ahead, silent. He's stopped crying but his face is wet and his eyes are distant as he fidgets, thinking over and over of Assistaff. What could they have done to her? Will he see her again? Will he be able to find her? Where—
“Shit, man. Where's Lovely?”
...
Or: Lovely Assistaff is stolen, Jabber lends Zanka a hand, and Zanka learns what happens to Givers that are separated from their Vital Instruments while finally accepting his sadistic side.
