Summary
The scent Carlos wakes up to is initially foreign until a minute later, when his memories return to remind him where he is, he starts chasing it and feels the weight of another body pressed into his chest already. He breathes in slowly, letting the warm presence of the beta in his arms settle deeper into him. Beta scent isn’t supposed to cause this much effect on him and make him crave. He's told himself for months and yet he surprises himself every time. The body half sprawled across him, the thigh hooked loosely over his leg, and one arm draped across his ribs are all factors to his current addiction.

Being pregnant mostly falls in line with what Charles had expected. He had heard other people talk about the cravings, the sickness, the increasing bodily changes, read an entire book about emotional ups and downs and the importance of self-care during the time of carrying a child.
But in the end, nothing had prepared him for the way his own husband would be.
