    A bad feeling.

    But… she'd thought that every time that same chill had run up her spine, right?

    But each time something terrible happened.

    And everyone was gone. Everybody had left, and the only thing she knew was that a few of the others were off to try and reclaim as many of the beacons as possible, but.. what if whatever was taking those beacons from them was dangerous?

    What if it was going for them? Drift, Apo, Martyn, Shelby, Legs, Cleo? Not to mention everyone else, they could be in danger. They could be dead.

    She'd made up her mind the second she took the feeling seriously.

It is a well known fact that soulbonds are extremely rare, although some soulmate advocacy groups estimate that the percentage of people with soulmates could be up to a hundred times higher than current estimates, given there may be a whole population that dismiss the symptoms entirely.
