Summary

Introductions get easier as he travels further, and despite the ever lingering sadness of dreams dashed, Julian finds that he doesn’t mind his life. He rather likes being an intergalactic man of mystery, leaving questions, broken hearts, and healed strangers in his path.

Bringing the Romulans into the war and all that that entailed left Garak elated. Sisko hadn’t needed to ask, Garak had anticipated. He hadn’t felt this dangerous in years.
When Julian comes to confront him about the bio-mimetic gel and a handful of loose suspicions, Garak is prepared. His story will be the perfect balance of lies and misdirection and technical truths. He’s even prepared to sacrifice deeper, personal truths for the sake of keeping the conspiracy hidden. Besides, Garak has his own suspicions about what draws Julian to him, despite everything that Garak is, despite everything that he’s done.
