    Summary

Faramir instinctively moves forward to keep up, before Arwen stops and turns to her instead. "Would you walk with me here, if I asked you too?"
The question has to be more than that. "I would."
Arwen tilts her head slightly, and her eyes shimmer in the sunlight, "Would you want to walk with me?"
Instead of letting silence come again when Faramir's answer does not come, Arwen prompts again, "By my side?"

Or, Arwen tries to make her feelings clearer to the Stewardess of Gondor.

    Summary

A wind blows across the Pelennor fields. It winds its way through the golden grass, over the walls of the White City, and up to the topmost tower. There it finds two boys looking out over the lands they are sworn to, dreaming of the men they will be.

    Summary

Denethor froze. Faramir stopped beside him, his jaw dropping.

In the center of the hall, the Great Hall of the Kings of Old, two men were grappling on the floor. Aragorn, their new king, had his arm locked around Boromir’s neck. Boromir, his face red with exertion and a massive grin, was trying to roll the King over into a pinning position.

They weren't fighting; they were wrestling. It was the messy, undignified play of brothers.

    Summary

The transition from the High Captain of Gondor to a wanderer of the wild was not a sudden break, but a slow erosion of the stone walls Denethor had built around his son’s soul. In Minas Tirith, Boromir had been the golden shield, immaculate, obedient, and rigid. He was the son who never asked "why," only "where is the enemy?"

But the wild did not care for titles or the approval of a distant Steward.

    Summary

Boromir does not know if they truly have any hope of seeing the sunrise, but his own heart feels lighter than hours before.
Whether he survives or he falls, he will do so with friends, with his king at his side.
    It is enough.
