Summary
Harry feels like his third year at Hogwarts threatens to tear his life apart.
On one hand, he has an escaped murderer after him. The more Harry learns about Sirius Black, the more convinced he is that he has to personally catch him. Edward Elric strongly disagrees with that notion, and is going through extra lengths to ensure Harry does not cross paths with Sirius.
On the other hand, tensions within the castle skyrocket as, for the third year in a row, Ling and Lan Fan insist that something is wrong with Scabbers, Ron's extremely ordinary pet garden rat. Except now they claim to know exactly what the issue is, and it has become more urgent than ever.
The only thing that could make the year more confusing was if the serial killer and the rat were somehow connected to each other.

Summary
Aizawa is given a case directly from Hawks that concerns some sort of witchcraft. He was not given too much but apparently there's a kid involved and he's not allowed to contact the commission. Upon further investigation, he discovers truly horrifying things and he knows he can't do it alone. Nedzu gets involved and helps to point him in the right direction.
Meanwhile in Amestris, Edward Elric has been missing for a month and with no leads available Mustang is forced to make a decision on whether or not to declare him as dead. Everyone that is able has been searching but without any leads they're starting to lose hope. That is until they get a certain letter from a certain school in Japan.
Together they will investigate the potential threats. Everything is on the line here and Mustang can only hope that he makes it on time.

The girl paled as soon as she opened the dilapidated door, but she steeled herself and guided him inside, and it was then that he saw it, the carnage that was inside of what used to be a quaint little home. Corpses of people strewn about carelessly, their blood seeping through the tatami floor— Mom, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, Rokuta — seemingly against his will, his knees crumpled down onto the floor, tears filling his eyes as his throat let out the most agonizing sound…
