Summary
On Day 11 of the Steady Fundamental Timeline, Hiruko reveals the truth to Takumi - that they both have been stuck in a time loop for at least 40 years. Instead of remembering the Slasher, Box of Calamity, or Mystery Timelines, however, Takumi remembers an alternate version of the 2nd Scenario, taking place after the events of Goodbye Eito. Without Eito's power, Takumi fails his final mission, and both the SDU and Futurum were eradicated.
With these memories and all the unresolved trauma of failing his friends not once but twice, Takumi resolves to protect the Special Defense Unit by any means necessary - even if it means they wind up hating him. Meanwhile, a hopelessly devoted Hiruko is left to face the terrifying possibility that the man she loves, the one person tethering her to her own sanity, might as well be dead underneath this cold, hardened version of himself. Just like always, telling anyone about her own pain winds up with them getting hurt.
