Naruto is kinda pissed, if he's honest.
Jiraiya ditching him to go do some "research" isn't anything new. It's also not the worst thing in the world. Being caught along with him when his unwilling subject inevitably discovers him is certainly worse, or having to try and edit his ramblings into something resembling an actual book.
But Jiraya also, apparently, didn't settle his tab. And told the innkeeper that he gave Naruto the money to do so. Which is funny, because Naruto can't say he knows anything about such money.
Now, he's an hour into doing the innkeeper stupid favors to get out of the whole thing instead. At least this is the last one, he thinks as he knocks on the door next to theirs. Mentally, Naruto is already halfway back in his bed when the door opens to red clouds on black fabric and his breath abruptly gets stuck in his throat. Oh no. Kisame is still intrigued by how the cultist's jutsu works and he steps toward the zombie duo. The circle doesn't seem to have a chakra of its own. He figured every wound Hidan receives, his enemy too, but he didn't see how he activated it... Hoshigaki hisses when the tip of Hidan's spear brushes his cheek. He got too focused on the circle and didn't notice Hidan moving his spear.
