“Promises that are too good to be true often are, my dear,” Alastor huffed, voice tinged with static and made rougher by the late hour. “Especially in hell. I suggest you learn that particular lesson sooner rather than later.” His gaze trailed down to where Vox’s hand was inching closer to his own. “For your own sake.”
“Let me worry about myself,” he murmured back. “And let me worry about you every once and a while.”
Alastor snickered like the other had just told a good joke, because, well, he had. “I don’t need anybody worrying about me, Vincent.”
“Do you have to need something in order to accept it?” he returned. “Come on, Al. Just… trust me.”Half romantic comedy and half psychological horror, this fic is my take on the events that led up to Alastor and Vox's break off. After having a drunken dub-con hookup they get into a situationship that's one-sided, which Vox is oblivious to, and Alastor is doing on purpose bc he's Like That. It's a dual narrative that leads to the toxic yaoi you know and love.

Somehow that was harder to accept than the fact he was in Hell.

In 1933 Alastor manages to summon a demon with a rectangular, glowing head who keeps staring at him like he can't decide between tearing him apart and worshipping him at his feet.
Meanwhile, Vox just blew up himself and the entire universe and suddenly stands before a second chance. He simply has no idea what that second chance entails.
In other words: The demon Vox and human Alastor time travel roadtrip fic that spiralled and suddenly gained a plot

Summary
Charlie had planted herself in front of Vox and was rambling off an impressive myriad of excuses, from busted pipes to bad Wi-Fi, while he stared at her, hands on his hips, with the utmost expression of forced patience. His black, digital brows were set in a line as straight as the glower at the bottom of his screen. He does a single, slow blink, finger tapping against his hip as he debates on how much money he can reasonably make on a Charlie Morningstar-inspired white-noise machine (and whether the guaranteed customer complaints will be worth the cheap buck) when a movement over her shoulder draws his eyes.
He leans to the side, eyebrow quirking. "What's that?" Then promptly chokes on a surprised noise and shoves Charlie aside. "Holy shit, is that a human?"
Lucifer plays a prank on Alastor.
Everyone else has to deal with the consequences.

Summary
During a training lesson gone wrong, Alastor finds himself in a Pentagram City he doesn't recognize.
The more he uncovers about this strange new city, the more he finds himself in a hell worse than actual Hell. He scrambles for a way to get back home, but his resources are limited and time is running out as the reining Overlord of the pentagram senses his presence and begins a relentless pursuit to find him.
And Alastor's not sure how long he can keep up this game of cat and mouse.

Summary
The wound on Alastor’s chest becomes badly infected and he’s unable to manage the pain even with drugs and alcohol. It gets to the point of him passing out in one of the hotel’s public spaces, unable to recover before he’s discovered by Charlie. Charlie drags Lucifer to Alastor’s side and tearfully begs Lucifer to save him. She’s having flashbacks to Pentious’s death and is terrified Lucifer might refuse out of spite towards Alastor and she just can’t lose another friend, she can’t!
Lucifer was never going to refuse, but the desperation and fear in his little girl’s voice breaks his heart all the same. Sure, he has his problems with the guy, but he wasn’t going to just leave Alastor for double dead. Who would he argue with over his morning coffee then? He overcompensates, just a tad, using his magic to not only mend the flesh but purge all foreign elements from the Sinner’s body…
Leaving behind a stranger with Alastor’s face and voice, but none of his demonic traits or abilities. Or memories.

He actually used that slang for TV. Vincent's face flushed hot.
“Now, you know my thoughts on the television. To think one of my fans– ”
I’m not your fan, I fucking insulted you in the letter! Vincent silently raged, gripping his rye glass so tightly he feared the glass would shatter in his hand.
“– would chase after such a boring and ridiculous dream crushes my heart! And being so sloppy in your execution is... well, it’s shameful! Where is the sophistication?! The cunning?” The commentator broke down into a series of sharp, rattling cackles, each laugh louder, more dismissive, than the last. “Probably shouldn’t brag then, eh?”

Or, a universe where Alastor and Vox are both alive in the fifties, they hate eachother, and they bring chaos.
