Summary
That fateful Halloween night, Severus Snape arrives at Godric's Hollow too late. In the aftermath of discovering his first friend and her husband dead, Snape makes the life-changing decision of taking the newly orphaned, Harry Potter, to the last place he wants to go to get the child to safety...the current home of two more Marauders, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin.
But, that was not the only child to find their way to the steps of Grimmauld Place that evening in need of sanctuary and a new family...one that was, seemingly, destined to turn the world, especially Sirius', upside-down and sideways.

Summary
Second installment of the 'You Don't Own Me' series (I know, it's long overdue) - story picks up after Severus and Lucius leave Hermione behind in the safety of their shared quarters at Hogwarts to answer the summons of the newly returned Lord Voldemort.
Using the 'Blood of the Enemy' forcibly taken from Aberforth Dumbledore to perform the Resurrection Ritual to restore the Dark Lord to a fully human body had the unexpected side-effect of leaving Riddle with the trademark blue eyes of the Dumbledore family. A development that Voldemort fully intends to take advantage of while entering the world of politics in his bid to become the next Minister of Magic.
In the background, Headmistress Minerva McGonagall and the Order will begin their hunt for You-Know-Who's Horcruxes in an effort to stop the up-and-coming Tom Marvolo Riddle a.k.a. Thomas M. Dumbledore from legally taking control of the Ministry and ruling the Bristish Wizarding World.

An alternate universe where Voldemort never heard a specific prophecy and triumphed in the First Wizarding War, dismantling the Ministry of Magic and seizing control over magical Britain. The Order of the Phoenix was destroyed, and Albus Dumbledore fell early in the fight, leaving no one strong enough to challenge the Dark Lord’s rule. The Statute of Secrecy remains intact, but Voldemort’s shadow reaches into the Muggle world. The Ministry now serves him, Hogwarts trains the next generation of Death Eaters, and Muggleborns have been nearly wiped out—or so Voldemort thinks.
