Tom grinned. “I'm happy,” he said. “See? I’m even helping.” He waved the cookbook.
“You’re holding the book,” Harry grouched as he fruitlessly willed the cabinet behind Tom to fly open and smack him in the face. It didn’t. “That’s not helping.”
“I might even hold the bowl for you if you ask nicely.” Tom fluttered his lashes.
