Static clings to the pitch of the song on the radio, and Zoro keeps one hand on the steering wheel as he adjusts the knob to soothe it. The green flash of a mile marker reminds him that his stop is nearing.
The windows are cracked, and the scent of pine wisps into the truck cab. The brackish scent of lakewater follows closely behind, the cold mineral scent of deep water seeping into the air.
Zoro’s wedding ring glints as the headlights reflect on the sign for the trailhead. Gravel crunches beneath the tires as he turns off the road.
He parks askew in the lot and the gears clunk as he jerks the driveshaft into park. -

Summary
The man has silken hair that hangs loose around his jaw, framing elegant features and an usual swirled shape to his brow. He wears a pale blue tunic of shimmering linen and navy trousers. His attire is ornamented with acorn caps in place of buttons and there are actual flowers pressed into the pleats.
A woven basket is hooked around the bend of his arm, snug against the lean line of his waist. Violet and burgundy berries sit nestled among an odd selection of weeds.
Zoro probably should have noticed these things earlier.
“Are you a fae?” He questions.
“No I am not,” The blond presses a tight breath from his lips. “If I were- I’d have let you shoot the stag and enjoyed the aftermath.”
Zoro’s brow furrows. “Then what are you doing out here?”
The man’s jaw tightens. He then lifts his basket in emphasis. “Foraging,” he says flatly.
Zoro stares, “on fae land?”
“I am foraging respectfully,” the blond snaps.

Summary
The latch of the front door prefaces the entry of the brownstones second occupant. Tromping bootsteps echo through the foyer. Sanji gives the pan’s contents a cursory stir before he leans away from the counter to spy his husband’s approaching form.
“Hey there, Mossy,” the blond greets.
Zoro smirks, hefting his black duffel into a kitchen chair and redirecting towards the other man. “Hey yourself.” He murmurs, his calloused hands sliding home around the narrow of Sanji’s waist.
“Busy day?” Sanji asks, tilting his head back until he can press their temples aside one another.
“Yeah,” Zoro answers simply.
Sanji hums, and turns back down to the skillet in his hand. “Me too.”
Neither elaborate.

Summary
Number one rule for working the night shifts at the sketchy gas station in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere was to not look at them, and they would leave you alone. They weren’t even supposed to see you if you didn’t look at them - just flicker the lights, rattle some shelves, and inflict the fear of death into your bone marrow.

"What's the hold up?"
The man's thumb dipped to the cleft of Sanji's ass and pressed against his skin sending a sharp zing of pain all the way up his spine.
"Did you know you have a mole here?"
The fuck? Sanji bucked his hips but the grip on his ass was like iron and he barely moved. He was desperate for friction, already leaking, and not sure how much more teasing he could possibly take.
