Gojo watched as Megumi tried his new uniform on, the kid that he took care of for years, has finally bloomed into a beautiful flower—standing out over the rest. "Megumi, that's not the way to tie a tie." Gojo chuckled as the younger struggled, finally scooting closer so he could help his blessing.
Megumi immediately looked to the side, blood rushing to his head as the color red started to reflect on his cheeks and ears. Of course this mannerism of Megumi didn't go unnoticed since the older has already memorized every response of Megumi to him. "It's okay, I got it." Megumi stole back his tie from Gojo, suddenly storming off the room to probably seek help from Tsumiki.
Gojo blinked, slightly disoriented with the rage of emotions that were brewing inside of him. Segments of Megumi's flushed cheeks and red ears suddenly bombarded his mind, causing a chuckle to erupt from his lips. Gojo was certain that he's attached to Megumi, sure that he has a lot of affection for the younger, but he didn't expect that there'd also be desire. A dangerous one that he's not even sure if he can hide it anymore.

I nodded my head vigorously, my heart pounding. "Yes! I am a huge fan of them!" I exclaimed, emphasizing the word 'huge' so he could really feel my sincerity. He just shook his head before looking at me intensely. The grin on my face almost fell due to how he was scrutinizing me, but I didn't let it get to me and kept the positive attitude.

And as naive fan, I didn't think about his sentence that much and just nodded. "Of course!"

Summary
If he knew that moments ago, Nanami had gripped a knife and entertained thoughts of plunging it deep between his ribs, he might’ve put distance between them.
But if Nanami was sick, Higuruma was sicker. His skin twitched beneath the tight fabric of his dress shirt, shoulders rolling and shuddering in a futile bid to relieve the tension that knotted between them. Sweat slicked his body, glistening in the firelight that painted him in violent hues of orange and red, setting him ablaze from the outside in. He was burning.
His vision dimmed, draining of color until the world was a muted blur—all except for Nanami. Nanami snapped into focus, vivid and pulsing with life, a beacon through the haze of Higuruma’s dilated eyes. He panted, breaths heavy and ragged like a slathering dog, muscles twitching with the need to lunge, to close the distance between them.
"Can’t ever—" Higuruma’s voice cracked, struggling to force the words out between teeth clenched so tight he felt a pop in his jaw. "Ask for help, can you?"

Nanami and Higuruma go on a duo mission together... and fall victim to some unexpected effects.

Nanami could taste him on his tongue still, their lips only seconds apart, the tips of their noses ghosting over one another.
Each spit coated stroke Nanami made was accompanied by Higuruma’s hitched breaths.
