Summary

“They were talking about some ‘rumours’ that were going around the island and uh..” Usopp continued, finally getting a little bit of a grip on himself. “they were talking about you being gay.”
Right. That was bound to happen one of these days, really.
When visiting a tiny and sweet looking island, Zoro gets himself in far more trouble than what he'd accounted for, not prepared for the looming threat coming for him and him alone.

Unfortunately for Nightwing, as soon as he stands up, the nausea floods right back through him. He staggers and he can hear Tim try to get his attention most likely out of concern for his brothers now pale-greenish looking skin. He’s going to throw up.
And he does, just like he predicted would happen.

Summary
When Sanji's father decides to sell the diner in the town where he grew up, Sanji reluctantly returns home to help prepare the place for sale. He should have known he'd have to deal with Zoro who never left their small town and who seems to be nursing a chip on his shoulder. Which might be fair given what happened between them.
Worse than saying goodbye to the diner Sanji loves so much are the weird happenings around town. Sanji would just ignore it all if only Zoro didn't start acting suspicious as hell.

Chopper turned to face him, and he was met with a pitiful sight. Luffy was sitting on the ground, holding his left elbow. His eyes were wide, brows furrowed as if in pain, and mouth agape. He seemed to be muttering something under his breath that Chopper couldn’t hear. The doctor approached him slowly, hesitantly, bracing himself for what he will learn next. “Luffy, do you need…” he didn’t finish his question because his voice didn’t call Luffy’s attention. He looked to be entranced, gazing out at sea but nothing in particular as words quietly came floating out of his mouth.“...rry…so sorry…”
“Luffy?”
“I’m so sorry, Nami.”

Summary
When Sanji comes into school with a broken arm, Zoro dutifully signs the cast: a shit sketch of a sword, nestled between Luffy’s bright red straw hat and Usopp’s mechanical sketches. Beneath their ink, someone has drawn this huge pink spiral. Zoro finishes and looks up, sees that Sanji is looking right back at him. Zoro feels his face open, he can’t control his expression. He feels, with a sick jolt to his gut just like that day at the foot of the dojo stairs, helpless.
When Zoro tells Mihawk he wants to spend more time at the dojo, Mihawk is pleased. Zoro works harder, stays later at kendo practice, runs every morning, lifts weights until his arms shake the whole day through. And still Sanji comes to school bruised, hunched, pale.

Modern AU. The biggest fight of Zoro's life turns out to be something he can't fight back against at all.
Set in the same universe as 'The Night Shift' but can be read as a standalone.
