Summary
This was how I think the final season of Stranger Things should have ended.
Have my fix-it fic. Where Henry gets the rescue and the start of all the hugs and love he deserves, Kali, Billy and Eddie aren't dead, Max and Kali are fucking badasses, Joyce gets sense and some fucking care knocked into her, Karen and Ted Wheeler stand on point and Eleven gets her fucking happy future.
Written from Max's, Kali's and Eleven's POV.
As happy an ending (especially for Henry, Kali and Eleven) as I could write seeing as I haven't seen the entirety of the season yet especially the final bit in anything but short videos, clips and gifsets, but I have spoiled it for myself and I know it's gonna be a long hard slog though it.
But all the cast, especially Jamie Bower, deserves all the praise and awards and all that good stuff for carrying the entire thing because God knows this season 5 volume 3 makes for a horrible ending.

Instead of acting in a way that caused Eleven to attack and banish him to the Upside Down, Henry reacted a little differently when Eleven walked in on him in the Rainbow Room, after the massacre at Hawkins Lab.
He didn't even say he asked her to wait.

Summary
Henry had no idea his reality of reshaping the world, after escaping the lab with Eleven, would be less of actually reshaping the world, and more of 'being Eleven's protective big brother, as well as her guardian' instead.
