Summary
Buck and Eddie's relationship is new, and both have decided to keep it under wraps. Eddie takes that to mean they won't flaunt it. Buck takes it to mean that they're pretending they are both still single and just friends. Neither talks about it. Chaos ensues.
----
"Oh, you mean Eddie? Yeah, Eddie Diaz." And Eddie is a lot more interested in the answer now that Buck seems to have realized the man was asking about him. They haven't properly labelled it yet, but to Eddie it’s pretty clear that whatever they call their relationship, they are BuckandEddie. Except, Buck doesn't seem to share that particular thought, because he says, "Yeah, he's single."
The pang of hurt is bright and strong. But just that, a pang. It is quickly replaced by anger. If Eddie is single, he should be the first one to know, not a random patient in the middle of a scene.

Summary
Buck and Eddie have been dating for some time now, but no one seems to notice the difference. Eddie starts to spiral about what that means, and if he's falling short as Buck's boyfriend. Buck does not agree.
---
“What do you say we are?” Eddie asks again, gently, working on taking the shoe off Buck’s foot, and Buck following his silent directions without a word.
“Partners” Buck answers then. “Does it bother you?”
“Of course not, Buck. It’s just… Chim, Maddie and Hen didn’t know we were dating until around a month ago.”

"Couples Pottery Class?" Buck asked in an incredulous voice.

Eddie is 'finding joy' through different activities and Buck is tagging along for support, but are they just friendly hangouts or are they dating without realising it?

Summary
Eddie shrugs. “I just wanted to.” He says it like it’s the most casual thing in the world. Like Buck is not completely freaking out right now. His eyes dart from the flowers to gorgeous brown eyes and back down to the flowers. He lifts them up to his nose to smell them, smiling softly when he sees Eddie’s cheeks flush. Eddie really is his best friend in the world.
“Plus,” Eddie adds. “It’s proper etiquette to give flowers on a date.”
Buck swears there’s a record scratching somewhere in the distance. His eyes widen and he feels his face and neck blush bright red. A date? Was this a date?
“Uh, yeah?” Oh. He said that out loud. And Eddie heard.
or: buck doesn’t realize he and eddie are on a date.

Summary
"Slight problem with that, bud. We're not actually dating, and that sorta feels like a pre-requisite to anything else."
Chris frowned at that, confused.
"Are you sure?" He asked. "And does Dad know that? Because he's been more smiley recently."
Buck internally debated the merits of explaining the whole complicated mess to a fourteen-year-old before deciding to just cut to the chase.
"We're not not dating," he started, before being cut off by Chris' groan.
"Are you telling me you and Dad are in a fucking situationship?"
Or, Buck and Eddie keep kissing, which would be fine if either of them would actually talk about it.
