You wake up, unsure of what happened, only that you seem to be stuck in some endless abyss with barely anything in sight. Except the fetching figure of a white-haired lady stuffing her face, named Beelzebub. Your masculinity shrivels away beneath her dominating presence and power, but, you don't think you exactly mind it.

“Look, don't overcomplicate this, okay?!” Adam yells to the crowd of Exorcists. “Take Eve to the fake hunting ground. The arcades, the museums, the parks. The fucking hair salon. Do - er, mother-daughter things! But whatever you do-” His face twists. “Do not tell her about the Exterminations or your actual job description under any circumstances. Are we clear?”
Everyone nods, some more eagerly than others.
“ALRIGHT, BITCHES!” He boosts the morale, holding up a fist with purpose. "LET’S KICK DEPRESSION IN THE NUTS!”
...
In which Adam has never failed at anything in his life, ever, and wants to continue that streak once his long lost wife shows up. That means being a top military general and A-plus husband at the same time. They're all in for a surprise.

Summary
As much as Adam loves extermination day, he almost loathes what comes next more: the annual post extermination assessment with Lucifer. Debriefing that smug prick year after year, even as he gets to rub the receipts in his face, lost it's luster a very long time ago.
But this year’s meeting is different. And all he can think about, is how the prince of lies must be scheming something- again. Because there is no way the First Fucking Man could possibly feel anything positive towards some bimbo nepobaby princess of hell.
Charlie, meanwhile, couldn't imagine finding a man like Adam attractive. He tells crass, revolting jokes, mocks her constantly, threatens her, treats her like shit, takes out his issues with her father on her, commits genocide against her people- and if all that wasn't enough, he's her mother's ex-husband.
...
But she can totally fix him.
Alternatively: Chadam fic where Charlie's meeting with Adam happens early and she tries convincing him genocide is an unhealthy coping mechanism. And he falls in love with her over it.
(I figured I'd specify, the relationship between Charlie and Adam is entirely consensual)
