This is very much a wip! Not finished by any means but I just need to get it out of my notes app.
—Owain has become so incredibly drunk, bumping heads with the Hierophant and even breaking a window together with the Sun. Wobbling all over the place. He is not too drunk to remember his code word however, duty. That is how he’ll find them. The hidden half, the mystery person.
Apo is so nervous, it is not usual that she dresses up in fancy garbs and pretends to be something more than a knight. She's never actually been within the ballroom, dancing. But it would be fun to learn how to let loose.

WIP AS OF 4/4/26
Nominal (and also like everyone else) has always thought Owain hated him, despised him even. They had many arguments about what’s right and wrong for the kingdom, what should be done in certain scenarios. He just wanted to look out for others, for 4C, Mae, Scott, and Katie, his sister. No matter the cost, he would be sure they’d live. He’d even kill Owain, or himself. So why is Owain defending him? Against Graecie, no less!
Owain never hated Nominal, he just wanted to look out for him. He was worried Nom would end up dying just because he couldn’t choose his own life or others, if Nom was faced with either himself dying in an ultimatum, or someone else, he feared Nom would choose himself. No matter who it was. Either way, he would defend him, even if it came as a shock to others.
OR
Graecie is upset and kinda yelling at Nom because be hurt Shan. Owain is nearby, overhears, walks over and defends him (he knows what’s going on dw) oh and other stuff happens
context: it’s Shan’s fault honestly, she kept jailing him, messing with him, and not being nice. Nom pushed her away when she let him out and she hurt her back and head. This is so ooc for shan but idc

Nom has never heard Owain sound like this before: His voice a low rumble in his chest like the animal his helmet is fashioned after.
"I…" Owain's helmet face lifted, slowly and dangerously. The dark slits in his armor bore holes into Nom when they come to face him. "…am paying your penance, Nominal."

in the way the castle corridors carried sound too cleanly, like the stones themselves were holding their breath. in the way the banners along the upper halls barely stirred, though the windows were open to the sea wind. in the way no one quite looked at her for longer than necessary.
