Alex Quackity: Look, Thomas Innit, or Tommy as he prefers to be called, killed Dream. This is not the question we are dealing with in this trial. We know where it happened, we know when it happened, we know he was the one who shot Dream point blank in the head. Those are all facts of this case. The question we are raising here is why it happened. The prosecution has suggested to you that it was done out of anger and hatred for the man who had been taking care of Tommy since he was 16. What we will prove to you however, is that it was done out of fear. You will hear evidence that when Tommy began living with Dream when he was 16, his life turned into a living hell. You will hear witness testimony to the cruelty Dream enacted on his charge. You will hear what kind of man Dream was behind closed doors. You will learn that not only was he capable of threatening to end Tommy’s life, you will be surprised it didn’t happen sooner. You will come to understand that what Tommy did was not an act of hatred or malice, but one of fear and desperation to survive.

Tommy and Ranboo have spent years up in space together, living alone on an - arguably eerie - spacecraft. But it's good. It's fine. They have their coffee and flowers, they have their friendship and books. They have everything that they could have ever wanted. It's just life.
"Ranboo," He murmured, fingers gripping onto a gloved hand. "I'm gonna have a nap. You'll wake me in an hour, right, big man? Set my alarm for me, the one- the one that screeches, yeah?"
There wasn't an outright response, just the hum of a drifting spaceship and the croak of a ventilator, but Tommy knew that Ranboo was listening. He always was.

Summary
When people thought of Poseidon they thought of the sea; Poseidon, Lord of the Seas, Commander of the Waves, the Stormbringer. Upon consideration they would add Earthshaker, for catastrophic events such as earthquakes were hard to forget. Few remembered, however, that Poseidon was also Lord of the Horses. Stormbringer and Earthshaker tended to squeeze that one out.
Percy had been able to talk to horses for as long as he could remember. He liked to think he understood them. Although he's not entirely sure why the new stallion thinks he's its foal.
Poseidon is not jealous that Percy thinks a horse makes a better father figure than himself. At all.
