Summary
Felix breathed a sigh of relief when Jeongin finally relaxed and collapsed against Chan’s shoulder, Chan’s face relaxing as well.
Five minutes passed before Jeongin’s lips cracked open and he brokenly said, “ … I’m sorry, daddy … I’ll be good now.” His eyes remained shut and his face was pale, feverish, his hands quivering in Chan’s hold.
Felix looked up and shared a silent exchange with Chan, the older boy’s eyes lighting up slightly in fear. Jeongin had never referred to Chan as his father, but in this state … there was a chance he was having a flashback. Felix blinked and watched Chan’s face as he figured out what to do, now that Jeongin had stopped struggling altogether.
Chan softly rocked the boy back and forth, trying to shake him gently back to reality, wondering how bad it would be when he landed, still keeping in mind the fact that Jeongin had run away. The older boy then whispered,
“Innie-ah … are you ready to go home, now?”

Summary
“Can I really pick any color I want?” He asks eyes wide looking at the variety laid out before him. Red, blue, purple, black, orange, green. His mum lets out a soft chuckle. “Of course baby. Whatever my Innie wants he gets.” he says smiling down at him.
“Innie?” He calls out weakly, expecting to see his little head peak around the corner and wide toothless grin but nothing. No sounds of giggles, no pitter patter of little feet, no warmth because his sweet little Innie died just before his 9th birthday.
