A mere month after the Hearthstone pack defeated a group of hunters and took their mage captive, a new group threatens the pack. This time, the wolves decide to strike first - and take the collared mage with them so they can use his magic to track the hunters down. It's a risk, of course: The hunter mage could be helpful, but he could also ruin all their efforts if given a chance. Even if he's been surprisingly docile so far.
Jaime is glad to help the wolves in any way he can, but he'd prefer not to see any hunters ever again. Not that he gets a choice.
