I like time travel. Which is how I stumbled upon this delightful story.
It's so out there and yet it just clicks in all the right places. Morally ambiguous characters with pragmatism do it for me.

I usually don't really enjoy gender change but I think it is not only pertinent but essential for this character in this story.
That said, I'll just add that I find this tale quite beautiful at times.
