Summary
The Jedi Order had plans within plans, and part of those plans dealt with the lack of friendship between Jedi and Mandalorians. While trying to get things moving, the Senate decides to enact their own plans by messing up what the Order wanted to do. Of course they do because it's the Galactic Senate right? The Kenobi/Skywalker/Naberrie family has been pulled into things, and the burden of it all falls on Luke.

It had been a short chapter -really only a few pages long- and Obi-Wan had always assumed that it was rare since that’s what the text had hinted out when they’d been explaining things.
Some of Stewjon’s citizens have evolved vocal cords that allow them to make noises that would otherwise be impossible for those of a different species. Things like a chirp, purr, or even a trill can be a sign of many things. Although rare, these involuntary signs can have many meanings…
Still, Obi-Wan hadn't been expecting his own men to be the ones to draw the noise out of him.
Or snapshots into Obi-Wan and the 212th Attack Batallion's day-to-day life, culminating in them finding each other through a series of slightly mortifying, definitely embarrassing, noises that escape Obi-Wan's mouth when he's excited or turned on.

Summary
So, I guess I'm doing this now.
Work 1 "Only Warmth in the Galaxy" was my attempt at getting this out of my system. The second work, "The Keys to the Kingdom Were Locked Inside the Kingdom" is the long-form attempt at creating a happy ending using the broad-strokes of the first work. You don't need to read the first to appreciate the second, but they were so closely linked that I felt they should be tied in a series. Work 1 is the bad ending, as far as Work 2 could be said to have a good ending...

Summary
When Obi-Wan Kenobi is called on to complete an undercover mission to discover Separatist involvement on a neutral resort planet, Cody volunteers to help him—not realizing that the planet is exclusively designed for romantic partners. Never one to back down from a mission, both Obi-Wan and Cody agree to pose as a couple for as long as it takes to uncover the Separatists' plans for the planet.
There are... several problems with this. Cody has never even kissed another person before, let alone been in a romantic relationship—posing as his General's husband will somehow be easy, hard, and impossible all at the same time.
For the Republic, right?
