Boston tries not to think about Rich, failing miserably and finding help in Whitney Houston.
The story is a continuation of my other one, "Non succederà più". It works better if you have read it, but it can be also read separatedly. This is Boston's point of view on his relationship with Rich. It was inspired by Whitney Houston's beautiful music, and particularly by "Saving all my love for you", which made me think of Rich and Boston.

"What." Crowley grumbled and looked down at the mouse in his hands. "Don't see what's so important about a little white mouse."
That's when he felt it. It wasn't a heartbeat thrumming against his palm, it was an angelic essence. A very familiar angelic essence.
"Aziraphale..."
His voice came out as a whisper, as if he couldn't believe it. He hadn't seen Aziraphale in months, not since the angel had left him for Heaven. He had wallowed for a little while, then found purpose again in a routine, knowing that eventually Aziraphale would come crawling back, confessing his great mistake in thinking that he could make a change Upstairs.
He never in his most petty dreams imagined that Aziraphale would return a broken little creature, dirty with what looked like perhaps an attempted smiting.

Aziraphale returns to Earth, but at a great cost to his corporation. Now, with Crowley's help, he must find a way to heal -- and quickly -- before Heaven finds him and resumes the Second Coming.

Summary
Crowley decides he's gotten too sentimental in his time on Earth. He fucks off to Canis Major to listen to angry, scorned, and bitter songs, adamantly avoiding break-up ones for his health and sanity, but Aziraphale, the bastard, invites him back to the bookshop for a post-breakup debrief. Much like the constellation Crowley's chosen to sulk at, Crowley is just a kicked puppy who can't refuse a beck and call.
Still, he doesn't make it easy.

Summary
Since he first exploded into existence, before time was even a thing, Crowley has been limited by his allegiances. First, he was controlled by God, then he was controlled by Hell, and after that, Aziraphale. After Aziraphale leaves, he finds himself unrestrained, purposeless, and with the God-given power to bend reality to his will.
