Summary
Letting his mind wander, the god pondered a way to better clear his mind. Whatever he did, it couldn’t be on Asgard- that was for sure. He pondered taking up an old hobby of his. Traveling. It had been awhile since he had walked the branches of Yggdrasil and chatted with Ratatoskr [The last being just before Thor’s disaster of a coronation]. Not to mention exploring the other realms. He wondered what the Vanir were up to and considered the realms that had the most change as there was no use visiting a realm that had remained the same as the last time he visited [much like Asgard].
He briefly considered going beyond the realms before quickly remembering the creatures of the void and instantly deciding against it. Give it a century or two. He’d get over it. The realms itself were limited with a few of them not exactly being ideal places to visit. Mentally cutting down his options, Loki supposed he would visit the realm he’d last visited as but a shadow of himself. Midgard.
A place of constant change and underlying chaos. A place where he had been under duress. A place where he had been saved.
A place where he had met the two of his most adored mortals.

Summary
In the year 2162, CyberLife launches the Aurora: a newly-constructed capital ship, carrying a phasegate bound for the Ariadne Arm. There the elite team of engineers will begin a 6 month construction project on the new phasegate, a multi-trillion credit investment.
Connor is a CyberLife engineer on the ship, and when it crashes... he may be the only survivor.
(A Subnautica AU, mostly following the game's events but with my own twists added here and there. Knowledge of Subnautica is not necessary, but would likely enhance the experience.)

"Gavin, please, you have to understand, I did this for you," he begged, fingers gripping the shorter man's shoulders and squeezing. "You're my brother, Gav, I couldn't just let you- you were dying." There was more emotion in those few words than Gavin had heard in years and if he looked close enough, he swore he could see tears shimmering in Elijah's eyes. "Nothing has changed, not to me, not to anyone else. As far as they're concerned, I brought you to a specialist. But nothing has changed," he insisted. "You may have a new body, but you're still the same Gavin. You have the same personality, the same memories. You're still you."

Summary
Gavin Reed did not board a giant spaceship to do anything other than act as the head of security and maybe play around in the anti-gravity chambers every now and then. Crashing on a new planet was never on the itinerary, nor is scavenging said (abandoned? to be determined) planet in an effort to survive against a foreign waterborne virus on a world that is entirely covered by fucking water.
He's just a security guard for gods' sake.
