Danny Williams didn’t ask to be adopted by the Kalākāuas — it just sort of happened after he took a bullet for Kono two months into their partnership. One plate of lau lau and a giant family hug later, he was officially Ohana. But no one warned him that “ohana” came with aggressive matchmaking, clipboard-carrying dates, therapy ferrets, detox smoothies, and one very persistent rookie partner.
