Summary
A silver spear with a lantern hanging from the blade. A second lantern, ornate and time-worn, divorced from its usual place at its owner’s hip. Neither of the lanterns are lit with their familiar blue flame.
Illuga is a Lightkeeper. He knows better than anyone in the room what it means when a Lightkeeper’s Oath Lantern has been separated from its bearer.
Flins doesn’t return from the battle against Dottore. Illuga becomes his lantern's keeper.

Summary
"You barely ever eat any human food."
"A shame, really."
"You must be starving."
"Not particularly."
"Then, if I offered you my heart, you would say no?"
Illuga finds an old book that tells the tales of man-eating fae, and decides to test the reality of it.

Summary
"'Flins'?" Flins asked, his tone mildly surprised but courteous. "I am seldom called as such. Why, my good sir, do I perhaps know you? If I do, please forgive me for I cannot remember."
"Hang on a second." Illuga grabbed the edge of Flins' coat. "If Flins is not the name you're used to, what do they call you?"
"Ah. My apologies." Flins took his hat and bowed, his grace and elegance untouched by the howling snow. He took Illuga's fingers and pressed them to his lips—much like the first time they met. "Allow me to introduce myself, my good sir. Around these parts, I am called Kyryll, the Azure Flame."

Summary
Never tell the fae your name. It gives them power over you, because names contain power.
That was Illuga’s first mistake.
Or perhaps, Flins' first exception.
