Evan smiles at him some more, that bright smile that always made something fizz down Tommy's spine. He rolls his eyes fondly at Tommy.
"C'mon, don't be so suspicious. Can't a guy climb in the back of his ex-boyfriend's truck in order to slow said ex-boyfriend down long enough to listen to what he has to say?"

“He was going to tell me to leave the 118?” Buck says.
“You know that's not the point,” She then mumbles more so to herself than to him, “Lord, he said this would be a fight, he just didn't say I would be the one fighting it.”
Or; weeks after Bobby's death Buck is facing a team that still treats him like he's fragile, a best friend that's taking his home back, and feeling more lost than he ever has. One of Bobby's last gifts to him is a way out and forward, so Buck takes it. He just doesn't necessarily tell everyone where he's going.

Eventually, Buck stumbles upon a TikTok he likes. It’s a feral, tabby cat that’s scared of humans and it’s composed of a montage of how it gradually starts to trust its foster family, turning from lonely and distrustful to loving and happy. It’s too cute not to share and Tommy watches the video, before smiling and looking up at Buck like he knows something Buck doesn’t.

Summary
For Evan and Tommy, intimacy is as natural as breathing, and the idea of going long without sex feels almost unthinkable. If it were up to them, they’d stay in bed all the time. But life happens—sometimes their shifts don’t align, they’re exhausted, or they prefer to cuddle and comfort each other after a particularly rough day at work. Those things are to be expected.
