If the walls could talk it would similarly speak of boundless activity, capturing chords of everyday life — the boys bustling, the floorboards creaking, even down to the noise of the refrigerator.
The pulse of life is evident in all that flows, only she can’t quite hear it right now.
It’s dull.
Unnerving.
Her heart skips a beat with how jarring it is, ready for life to snap her back into place; to hear the key turn in the door and the soft call of her name to let her know she is not alone.
She lifts her head from the couch in anticipation, but it doesn’t come.

Post 6x18 Vampire Jemily AU.
In this world, Emily and JJ have been on and off as a couple since 3x17. Their most recent breakup results in JJ leaving to work for the 'State Department,' and they haven't seen each other since then. Emily goes off to face Doyle alone, and she ends up in the hospital. While she's clinging to life, Emily Prentiss is visited by an old friend who changes her life forever. She's been turned into a vampire. When she wakes from her coma, she struggles with her newly heightened abilities, overwhelming bloodlust, and the terrifying possibility of hurting the people she loves. She learns to control her new powers (with help, of course). When Emily boards the jet to Paris, her newfound control is put to the test.

Emily had seen the way Will looked at JJ, the determination in his eyes. He wasn't the type to let geographic distance stand in his way. He would call, maybe visit. And why wouldn't JJ be interested? He was handsome, brave, and dedicated to justice. Everything anyone would want.
Emily rolled onto her side, squeezing her eyes shut against the images that flooded her mind unbidden: JJ accepting Will's invitation to dinner, JJ laughing at his jokes, JJ inviting him up to her hotel room.
JJ kissing him.
JJ touching his chest.
Him taking off her dress.
The imagined scenes played out like a sickening film she couldn't stop, each frame more detailed and excruciating than the last.
