Robby mumbled something that sounded a lot like, “You can't stop me.”
In actuality, Robby was trying to work up the courage to make a move. Things were coming to a head between him and Jack. He could tell, they were on the brink of getting married and having ten children or never speaking again. Whichever came first.

“Abbot,” Robby called as he walked towards his motorcycle, “You better not have slashed my tires.”
Robby stopped just short of where he guessed Jack’s fist could reach him. Jack turned to him, that same stormy stare in his eyes.
His pocket knife blade was open, he flipped it in his right hand.
“Put it down,” Robby demanded.

Jack tilted his head back, meeting Robby’s gaze, his eyes dark from the alcohol. “I feel like I’ve known you all my life.”
Robby just blinked. Even in his drunken state, he felt something curl in his chest, the same thing he had spent the whole day trying to tamp down. What was he supposed to say to that?
“You haven’t, Jack,” he managed, lamely.
“I know, you just, like, get me,” Jack threw his arm outwards, letting it settle on Robby’s shoulder, his nose pressed into the space behind Robby’s ear.
“I think you and I were meant to find each other,” Jack said lowly, his breath ghosting the shell of Robby’s ear.

He didn't really know how it happened.
One moment he was trying to calm down an agitated patient and the next he was on the ground as said patient was hitting him, and then the next moment the patient was ripped off him and firm loud voices filled the room.
And now he sat in south sixteen with an ice pack pressed to his busted lip as he waited for the night shift attending.
OR
Dennis get hurt on the night shift and freaks out about needing to take off his shirt.
