Everyone else is strong.
Raph has super-strength, Mikey is slippery and fast, and Leo, surprisingly, is pretty good with his portals.
Donnie doesn't have that.
What he does have is a shell that can't be used and some tech that keeps failing. In fact, even when he really tries, he can barely catch up to his brothers. Sometimes he even slows them down.
He doesn't want to do that again.
And this wound isn't that bad. He can cover it up, act normal, and it'll all be okay...
... Right?

Summary
Donnie has everything perfectly under control. Sure, sometimes he hears the voices of those who aren't there, and sometimes he's not in control of his own body- but those are easy fixes. He's fine, dare he say even better than fine! He's so fine that he even constructed a portal to other dimensions in case the Krang come back! It's not like he worked endlessly, almost obsessively, over the portal for days, missing sleep and family trying to talk to him.
He's fine!
He's even fine when the portal swallows him whole and spits him out into a new universe with nothing but his battle shell and clocking broach.
One with alternate versions of him and his brothers, just starting out and fighting their own version of Kraang and bad guys. He's even fine when he gets dragged into their upcoming battles and fights. He's going to get home anyway; what's the harm in helping out his alternate family fight against Kraang?

Okuyasu has never felt like he really had anybody to rely on.
Not even now.
Although he's surrounded by his friends, he can't help but feel like he can't trust any of them, and that nothing he does has any relevance. Loneliness envelops him and he begins to push everyone away. What he doesn't realize is that he is only hurting the people that truly cared for him, and unknowingly breaks his best bro's heart... along with his own.
Okuyasu finds the root of this issue and breaks down the walls that had been holding him back.
