Summary
Things have been good, lately.
Trinity has been good. She likes going to work—likes the thrill of particularly difficult cases, likes the easy back-and-forth she’s starting to build with her coworkers, even likes arguing with Langdon. She likes her little apartment and she likes that she gets to share it with Dennis. (It’s way cleaner, now, and she eats real food half the time. And she has something to do in the evenings other than think about everything she’s lost).
Things have been good.
She should’ve fucking known what would happen if she let her guard down.

Trinity is cornered on her way home from work. She gets out of it with a stab wound and a whole new wave of old trauma. (And of course, her least favorite coworker is the only one there to talk her down.)

Summary
Langdon comes back from rehab with feverish eyes and a near-constant grimace. He's just as fidgety as ever, just as snarky, and just as competent, but he doesn't look Robby in the eyes. Robby returns the favor. The trust between them disintegrated as soon as he pushed Langdon out the door. As soon as Langdon decided not to tell Robby he was struggling. Neither of them know how to get it back.
Robby has to wonder though; if he'd tried harder to fix their relationship, maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Frank Langdon angst, based off the original character description that he overcame a 'devastating back injury' to become a doctor.

Summary
“Piss off,” He scoffs. He backs off, like if Ant’s finger touches him, it’ll burn.
“You were scared-” Spider throws his hands up into the air.
“Forgive me for not wanting my mate to cut his dick off with a pair of safety scissors, stupid cunt,” He snaps, but there’s no heat behind it. Ant’s finger floats forwards, but he swats it away with an eye-roll.
Spider's seen a million of Ant's bad trips. But he thinks that trying to cut his own dick off is insane, even for someone as batshit crazy as Ant.

Summary
“Oh. I'm acting weird?”
The sight of Spider recoiling from him, confused and unsure, gives Ant a stomach ache. He feels nauseous and guilty and gutted. But he's also pissed. Fuck this. He's been feeling confused and unsure about their friendship for a while now. He's had his safe space taken, his person gone from his side like a chunk of flesh dug out from his body. Spider can endure a few minutes of that same feeling, if only to make things even.
“What's that supposed to mean?” He sounds almost fearful, like the existence of an unfamiliar version of Ant has the ground giving out under him. Good. Ant has been groundless for months.
“I don’t know, man.” He replies, bitter. “You're the one who ghosted me for like a year.”
