Summary
After following a hunch that leads to a physical encounter with Fisk in Riker's prison, Matt finds out that he is pregnant. Despite it being Wilson Fisk's child, Matt decides to keep the baby and now is faced with the monstrous challenges of pregnancy, parenthood, and protecting his family from Fisk's crosshairs.
[OR a rewrite of the S2x10 prison scene, resulting in Matt carrying Fisk's child in the gap between S2 and the Defenders. Matt finds support in his friends as he rebuilds the relationships he destroyed in S2, and his city that raised him, while he explores what pregnancy holds for his already very complicated life.]

The first time it happens, it’s a cup of coffee on top of Sharie’s coffee shop. Or, rather, it’s a cup of coffee Matt knows instinctively is from Sharie’s on top of the building Sharie’s sits at the ground floor of.
There are weirder things than a fresh cup of coffee on a rooftop at night all by itself.
Matt’s wary, of course. He sniffs it extra good, and can smell Sharie’s coconut perfume and vanilla deodorant. She made this cup herself and left it here.

Nobody expects fully-functioning brains on Mondays. The millennial-groveling home-decor stores are right about that stereotype: it’s Monday. He needs coffee before he deals with this shit. “I don’t think you’re supposed to be here.”
Matt chirps at him.
“Yeah,” Foggy says, feeling a little blank. “Yeah, I’ll get right back with you.”

He carries him in, just like when he was a baby, but now Matty’s nine years old and on pain pills to keep him from feeling the agony that’d kept them both awake at first. He’s silent where he lay against Jack’s shoulder, clinging to his neck, his little legs wrapped around Jack’s waist. One arm is wrapped up in a cast from landing so hard on the pavement that it fractured, and one of his toes is splinted to another. Jesus. Jack's baby with a cast and a splint.
Not to mention the blindness.

Red’s hands were firm in their hold of his face, a fact Frank didn’t really process until Red clamped his palms down, forcing their mouths apart by a few inches. Frank ran his tongue along his own lip, more out of breath now than he had been at the scene of his massacre, and waited for the yelling to continue. Waited for Red to deck him square in the jaw - he wouldn’t stop him if he tried. He waited for a judgment that didn’t come.
“Who’d you think was in the bag?” Red asked, the words spoken almost directly into Frank’s mouth.

The man remains silent for another beat before speaking up in a voice that's scratchy from disuse. “Lawyer,” he says. “I was a lawyer.”
“But not anymore?” Wade asks. “You get fired? Disbarred? Why's lawyer in the past tense, gorgeous?”
“I died,” comes the quiet response, and Wade is suddenly very aware he's in the presence of someone potentially crazier than himself for once.

When what should have been a straight forward mission in Hell's Kitchen goes pear shaped due to lack of communication, teaching his teammates sign language seems like a logical step to Clint. Communication when their comms are down - great plan! And including the local vigilante, who's been working closely with them on this, is a real no-brainer.
Until it turns out said vigilante is an asshole that thinks sign language is beneath him, judging by the way he's stubbornly refusing to learn it.
(Conversely - Matt's trying, he really is but damn it, those two signs are exactly the same... what do you mean they mean completely different things?!)
