** This is a solidly Season 2 AU fic in that Lucifer never freaks out and flees to Vegas after Chloe’s poisoning and ‘miracle reveal’, so no Candy creating a wedge between them. It’s early Deckerstar here while they’re still feeling their way forward. Fits in any time after ‘A Good Day to Die’ with both of them hopeful, yet hesitant, to finally cross that brink to becoming ‘something more’ than just friends.

She wasn’t even listening to what he was saying by now, completely tuned out to the world around her. Instead, her eyes widened as she could no longer doubt it – Lucifer was definitely talking to a ghost now too, somehow the same ghost that had been with her since she was young.
