Summary
It wasn’t everything around himself being broken, was it? Just him. No matter what happened, what he got upset over, what went wrong… Tenna was the only truly awful thing wherever he went. Nothing he made was earned. Nothing good came without a hefty price. Nothing stayed. Nothing – nothing –
Tenna was nothing. His chest buzzed like flies had taken residence in the rotting meat that might’ve been his heart at one point. Why did he feel sick? Could he even get sick? And his antennae were humming, buzzing, why was everything buzzing, why did he feel so – ?
Someone was coming closer.
Or: Tenna knows that good things can't last forever. He thought he knew that pretty well, anyway.

Summary
Gordon doesn't know how much of him returned home - especially when home is normal Joshie and normal weekday and normal dinner. And it couldn't have possibly been real, all that. Everyone else seems to be taking it in stride, at least everyone who made it out. So maybe he'll just play along and no one will notice. And he certainly won't hit anyone with his car on a deserted road. For the better, to boot.

While the heroes are off adventuring in church, to the citizens of Castle Town, it is just another day. Left behind, they make their own fun.
For Seam, it is business as usual. Until an unexpected visitor arrives, bringing chaos into the Seap as its very own part-time menace. Throughout the day they serve many odd customers, discuss their thoughts on the world, and drink copious amounts of tea.

“Didn’t think I’d get this far,” Kris tells Dess.
“Hey.” Dess taps their nose, and they peer up at it through their bangs, the vibrant brightness of her face. “I’m glad you’re here, harbinger. You’re going to figure this out.”
Kris hums, noncommittal. Somewhere halfway across the country their friends are finishing up final exams. A whole year out there, learning new things, living new places. So many things they’ve seen that Kris never has, never will. Certainly, their friends have traveled further beyond the bounds of Hometown than they ever have. Into some world that surely cannot exist. Some reality that doesn’t include them.
They know, of course, that theirs is a problem that can never be solved.
(When they’re ten years old Kris Dreemurr is shown a video by their mother. It is of a coyote that has been raised by a dog mother, with dog siblings, in a human house.)
On surviving your end and what comes next.

Swatch pulled their tie into place and began to speak, “As you well know, it is part of my purpose to serve royalty. Despite how odd it sounds, I’ve missed tending some of Queen’s more… let’s call them eccentric whims now that I’m no longer in her employ.”
This turn in the conversation didn’t make sense to Ralsei. The non sequitur alarmed him, and he could only assume that they would soon segue into talking about how immature he was acting in comparison to Queen. A moment passed in silence as Ralsei braced himself for scrutiny.
He was instead met with a gentle wing placed upon his shoulder.
“What I’m asking you is this: do you have any requests or favors to ask of me?”
While still reeling from the events in the Dark Sanctuaries, Ralsei receives a generous offer from Swatch.
