    Charles puffs out a laugh, and when Erik lifts his head, there’s a glimmer in his eyes, a mirthful look on his face he can’t quite place. “On the contrary. I’ll take it.”

    OR: Erik is a grumpy real estate agent who's been (poorly) dealing with his mother's death. Charles is a former Fortune 500 CEO-turned-at-home baker with some problems of his own. Naturally, they fall in love.

    To be perfectly honest, Charles had not even expected to get past the stage of booking a plane ticket, so boarding, flying and finally landing? Surreal. He was "Mr Mutant Assimilationist" visiting "Isolationist Mutant Island" as a tourist.

    And yet, there he was, a mutant father on holiday with his two overexcited children, whom he had to keep away from trouble and danger. With his telepathy and Peter being so quick he did not think there would be any particular problem. Then David chose to cling to fucking terrorist President Magneto who apparently was on the same plane as them.

    These children would be the death of him, it was becoming clearer every day.
