Summary

Years later- and Gon departs for the hunter exam in search of his father- There he helps a white haired boy try become a hunter to put an end to his own family bloodline. Both making a promise to stay together- But one goal was a lie hidden under lock and key... As one of their goals had been dead for years.

Yoshiki had died that night on the mountain, and what stood in his place wasn’t him, but something else. It wore his body, mimicked his voice, but the warmth that Hikaru had always known was gone. Instead, there was a thing that couldn’t understand love, but craved it. A thing that wanted to keep Hikaru close, to protect him, but with a twisted sense of ownership.
Hikaru felt it, the difference. The affection was real, but it wasn’t right. This thing, this creature, had no idea what it was doing. But it needed him—needed to believe it was Yoshiki, needed to cling to whatever human emotions it could borrow.
Hikaru couldn't look away. It was Yoshiki’s body, his face, his memories. But not his soul. And the longer he stayed, the more he wondered if he was lying to himself, convincing himself that love could exist in something so broken, so wrong. He couldn't run. Not from the thing that replaced his friend. And not from the twisted love it gave. Even if it meant accepting something that wasn’t real.

Summary
The war was over. The three children pilots were applaud as national heros! The world became prosperous again after the defeat of Adam and his children... and the takedown of SEELE and Gendo Ikari.
But Shinji felt empty... so empty... This ending- felt like it was undeserving... So many questions of his hadn't been answered. So many things were like odd gaps in his memory- he felt like... this happy ending lacked something- or, more like- someone.
It was only until did he runaway did he find his answer in the woods- a creature looked similar to things that he had faced in the past... So why... Why did this one feel so familiar?
