Summary
Cornflower blue eyes haunted his dreams. Every chestnut-colored head of hair had him doing a double take to see if it was him. It was driving Geralt insane. Physically he was doing much better. In truth, he healed much faster than he should have and that meant one thing and one thing only, but Geralt refused to believe it.
There was a myth amongst vampires that there was a person out there whose blood tasted sweeter than all others. With whom there would be an instant connection. A person who, with one look, would change your afterlife forever. A True Mate. One hand-picked by destiny. Geralt didn’t believe a word of it. Destiny, if there even was such a thing, had fucked over Geralt plenty already. Renfri’s face flashed through Geralt’s mind and he shook his head to rid himself of the vision. No, he never wanted to be tied to another human ever again.
And yet...
Or: Geralt gets hurt and feeds from Jaskier and his whole world shifts focus. Jaskier is his True Mate but Geralt refuses to believe it and tries to put the man from his mind. But when the two of them are kidnapped by Cats who think the Wolves have a hand in the disappearance of a Cat, Geralt must make some choices.

Summary
Geralt didn't know what to expect when he finally found Jaskier again, but it wasn't Jaskier confessing to him and in the same breath telling him to leave and never come back. So Geralt tries to oblige. If Jaskier wants Geralt gone, then Geralt will go. But he still doesn't grasp the underlying problem of it all. At least, not until Yen points it out to him. Then Geralt finally understands, that the way to win back his bard is to finally put him first.
(Now just to convince Jaskier that he means it)

“Ciri, hurry sweetie! You’re going to miss the bus!” Jaskier called as he finished packing Ciri’s lunch. Ham sandwich with swiss cheese, lettuce, and ranch dressing. Fruit pouch, juice box, a chocolate chip cookie from the batch they made last night, and a sticky note with an inspirational song lyric, a heart, and Jaskier’s name.
He closed up her Wonder Woman lunch box as she came clomping down the stairs. He zipped up her lunch box in her backpack and handed it to her as the bus honked.
“Here you go, honey, you have a great day at school,” he said, smiling at her and bending down to hug her. She smiled and hugged him back as she took her bag.
“Thanks, Mom,” she said as she ran down the hallway and out the front door to the bus. Jaskier had frozen and watched her go. She left the front door open and turned to wave as she got on the bus. He mentally shook himself and waved back. Once the bus had driven away he walked down the hallway and closed the door and then leaned against it.
He was in shock. Ciri had called him ‘Mom’.

Summary
After the mountain Jaskier is heartbroken and intends to leave Geralt and their life together behind. But when he finally stops for the night he finds one of Geralt's shirts tucked in the bottom of his bag. He wants to throw it away, but he can't bring himself to. Instead, he wears it every night to sleep in. Eventually, he meets up with Lambert, who is devastated by the loss of Aiden and they begin traveling together. When Geralt finally is able to track his bard down in order to apologize, he isn't ready to find his brother seems to have taken his place.

Sokka waits, weighing the pros and cons of chancing stepping out into the lantern lit street once more, and ultimately deciding against it. He turns instead to head back down the alley, twisting his way around the narrowly cleared path filled with empty sacks and crates, and nearly falls flat on his face when his foot catches on something he tries to step over at the same time it tries to jolt away.
Still, he is shocked enough to go wheeling forward, and his bag of carefully procured supplies goes tumbling free to scatter all over the ground as he catches himself. “What the-?”
But the moment his eyes catch it, he is frozen to the spot.
The leg he had fallen over, being pulled beneath a body.
And there is a moment of icy dread, fear instant and instinctual before he can stop it but the sight of shredded clothing, of bruising, of the unfocused gold of a pair of eyes attempting to make sense of him, has a different concern immediately taking over. “Zuko?”

Summary
Geralt regrets how he parted with Jaskier. Unfortunately Destiny’s bull swept him away and he didn’t have a chance to go find the bard to apologize. Now, a couple years later, Geralt finally has a small break as he’s called to deal with a werewolf problem in some backwater village. It was the last place he expected to run into Jaskier again- only this time, he isn’t the same Jaskier that Geralt remembers.
