“It was a date.”
It wasn’t, and Eddie can’t believe he said it again. Those four damning words are just out of his mouth before he can run them past his filter, and the look Hen gives him tells him more than enough. He drops his face into his hands. The silence in her kitchen is deafening. He knows Karen is looking at him like he’s just spontaneously sprouted a second nose, and it takes several long moments, filled with deep and calming breaths, before he can bring himself to look at them again.
“It wasn’t,” he says. “I’m just an idiot.”

Summary
“You’re watching a show about firefighters?” Steve balks.
That’s a plot twist Steve didn’t see coming. If he had to guess what Eddie’s been watching for weeks it would be something more… well, nerdy. Something like Game of Thrones or Dr. Who.
Firefighters, though? That seems a bit too mainstream for the dude who has no less than three versions of The Lord of the Rings books on his desk.
“It’s called having hobbies,” Eddie sasses, throwing Steve’s own words back at him.
“Fair point,” Steve says sheepishly. This time, it’s his cheeks that flush with embarrassment and regret. “Just one more question, and I’ll leave you alone.”
Eddie groans but motions for Steve to continue.
“What show is it?” Steve asks, genuinely curious.
“9-1-1.”

He didn’t know that Steve Harrington was actually a pretty good guy until he took his side against improbable odds, nor did he know that Steve would stick around when all was said done— well after Eddie’s wounds stitched themselves back together alongside the gashes in the center of Hawkins— until he did.
And he sure as shit didn’t know that he’d gone and developed an all-consuming crush on Steve until his unlikely new friend, Nancy “I’m Observant And Know Everything” Wheeler, had to go and bring it up.
Or, Eddie's been writing love letters he never intends to send. When he's interrupted by Steve for an impromptu fake date, he receives much more than the promised promotional free dessert.

Summary
“Okay, what gives?” Eddie demanded in the middle of dinner on the day of Armageddon, slamming his fork down with dramatic flair and giving Steve a narrow eyed look.
Steve slowly lowered his own fork, giving his boyfriend a gentle eye roll. Dramatics were a common occurrence at the Munson trailer, and Steve was very used to Eddie and his need for over the top reactions by this point.
“What is it now?” Steve asked with a put upon sigh, sharing a look with Wayne who was also bemused at Eddie’s never-ending antics during dinner. It had been weeks since Steve flinched at a hand slamming on a table or a sudden shout from behind.
Eddie was the best kind of exposure therapy.
“Why aren’t you eating?”

Crowley drags his fingers through the downy hair smattering his chest, then continues down, grazing over the slightly concave curve of his stomach and past his belly button. Stopping at the elastic waistband of his boxers— designer, of course, versace, and the only clothing he still has on— fingers dipping beneath the fabric but not yet committing. Teasing.
He lets out a shuddery breath, eyelids fluttering against his cheek.
Crowley doesn’t give in to the aching desire to make that commitment yet. Instead he pulls his fingers from the waistband and lets his hand float back up his body to settle against his chest once more.
He pinches a nipple. Rolls it between his fingers. Stutters out another hot breath. His hips twitch.
Aziraphale’s name sits hot and heavy on the back of his tongue.
